Students who are enrolled in UW-Whitewater online-only degree programs are considered Distance Education (DE) students. These students are eligible for the same services as on-campus students, as well as others listed below. Graduate students and faculty are also eligible for these services.
Once you have found an item you need through a search in Research@UWW, you can request delivery for the content by using the same process as Interlibrary Loan.

Request that physical items be sent to your home at no charge- Indicate in the Note field of your request that you are an online-only student, a graduate student, or faculty
- Provide your mailing address in the Note field
- You are responsible for returning the item to UW-W at your cost. It is strongly encouraged to obtain a tracking number if you are mailing items back to the library and to ensure there is sufficient insurance should the package be lost or damaged during the shipping process.

Use your UW-W HawkCard to borrow items while visiting other UW System Libraries. Go to the library's website to see the policy for UW System in-person visits.
Use your Interlibrary Loan (ILL) also locates and obtains materials for our faculty, staff, graduate students, and online-only students that are not available in our collections in addition to items in our collections that can be delivered to your home or email at no charge. This service provides access to additional resources from participating libraries that support the same delivery times and generous loan periods. Any questions or concerns about ILL should be submitted to the ILL department at libill@uww.edu.
