Question

I found an article on Google Scholar or elsewhere on the internet, but it’s asking me to pay for it. Can you get access for me?

Yes! Look for the DOI of the article and copy/paste it into LibKey to see if UW-Whitewater can provide access.

If you use Google Scholar often, follow the directions on this page to link Google Scholar to the UW-Whitewater library. Then search for the article again. You will see FindIT links on the right side of the search results. Those may provide access for free.

If that doesn’t work and you are still being asked to pay for the item, don't pay! Go to our Interlibrary Loan page to read more and make an article request. This is a free service. Most articles are delivered electronically as a PDF scan, within 3-4 business days. You will receive an email when the item is available for download from the ILLiad site.
